La tormenta parecía empeorar cada segundo, por más remoto que estuviera aquella cabaña, no fue impedimento para que la criatura lo capturará en aquel lugar y terminará volteando de cabeza tanto su mundo entero como la de su pequeño y único hijo.
Tal vez si hubiera sido más atento, o ser más cuidadoso, o no dejar de lado los sentimientos de aquel niño que solo quería el mismo amor incondicional que había recibido su hermano mayor antes de esa horrible tragedia.
Ahora lo único que le quedaba era aceptar por completo a esa bestia, que lo devoraba con la mirada y que su hijo terminó atrayendo para "hacer feliz" a su padre o dejar que se llevara su último rayo de felicidad acabando tanto con su vida como la de él.

Summary
Bobby, a seven-year-old boy with minor psychic powers, has lived in a Federation lab nearly as long as he can remember. He doesn't want much more than to cooperate with the scientists around him and make it through the day.
Roier's pulled off an elaborate set of lies that put him a privileged, but precarious, spot as a Federation in-house psychologist. When he's assigned to watch Bobby's well-being, he must decide how to care for the child without risking his position--or if his position is even worth it.
Jaiden worked hard for her role as a Federation biologist in the secretive ESP unit. Bobby's case is a whole new beast, though, and has her wondering who she can trust, and what her work really means, and how to mention the ticking timer her superiors have put on them all.
Cellbit works in Federation lab maintenance, keeping up his own delicate balance and facade. He isn't prepared to question everything after meeting a vulnerable child and two painfully human scientists, but he might have to.

Cellbit es un investigador famoso donde en sus tiempos libres le gusta gastarlos en su afición, los videojuegos, estos suele compartirlos en línea donde, gracias a eso ha creado una comunidad de fans tanto de sus investigaciones y por sus habilidades gamers. En cambio, Roier es un profesor de artes plásticas de día, y un fanartis por la noche, un día se enteraría de que el chico que tantos dibujos dedicaba iba a ir a una convención cerca de donde él vivía, y lo vio como una oportunidad de poder verlo y entregarle en persona uno de sus trabajos dedicado a él.
