After winning the 73rd Hunger Games Katniss and Peeta are reasonably traumatized, but the next year after their victory tour they're both forced into a deal by President Snow unless they want their families to die. Returning back to District 12 traumatized and scared they think things couldn't get any worse, right? But fate proves them wrong again with the 74th reaping, where Primrose Everdeen's name is picked but this time Katniss can't volunteer for her, Katniss is forced to mentor her own sister unable to guarantee her survival.
