It's the beginning of the 1950s in New York. Caesar survived and eventually followed there - whenever his wife is gone, Joseph doesn't rein in his egotistic tendencies.
He's a serial cheater here (but hey, it's canon he's a cheater so why not I guess) and I'm sorry for Suzi :') she deserves better. Also, Caesar is somewhat rough here, but consensually so.

Now stuck caring for a comatose Caesar, Joseph finds himself navigating guilt and grief alongside a whole mess of unresolved feelings--and all of that bullshit is before Caesar wakes up.
Can two emotionally stunted, traumatized idiots figure out how to heal without killing each other in the process? Probably not. But it’ll be one hell of a journey either way.
