As a soldier, Mukuro had to be able to keep focus at all times in order to prepare for any attacks. As such, little things surprised her anymore. When your life is a literal war zone that tends to have an effect on what is shocking and what is not.
Well, that and perhaps having a supermodel hell bent on creating despair and chaos for the world as a sister kind of helped her transition into it.
Of course, Mukuro wasn’t completely stoic. There were times when life had managed to, even for a brief while, catch her completely off-guard.
Like say, perhaps having said sister announce she was going to wipe away her memories of her entire identity to be able to participate in the mutual killing game she set up for her classmates.

When Zakariya accepted the offer of being sent to another world, he thought it was botched up. Everything looked familiar. Skyscrapers, televisions, phones. Everything was modern, and so... *not* Isekai-like.
Then, his 'brothers' (or more specifically, the Archangels forced to pose as his brothers for the time being) broke the news to him. The world was similar because it was a modern world. A modern world brought to life for his punishment. A world where Talent was everything, when he was as talentless as it came.
The world of Danganronpa... and he had to save it.

Summary
Being recognizable was both a blessing and a curse. They were almost beaten up multiple times by Enoshima's followers, but they were saved by either Syo or some merciful bystanders. Other times, people would help them after recognizing them as the survivors of the killing game. In the end, the small ragtag group of the survivors always stuck together. Through thick and thin.
The days before the Future Foundation and after Hope's Peak Academy weren't easy.
