Summary
Crowley shakes himself, a mental ripple of scales to slough off the bizarre, high-strung mood that's taken hold of him. He's being ridiculous. Spooked by the threat of newness he isn't even sure is real. Aziraphale has done nothing at all to suggest any of this is out of the ordinary. If anything, Crowley suspects they're both operating under unspoken agreement that things are Getting Back To Normal.
Well. The more recent normal. The normal that had so briefly existed after they'd averted the not-Apocalypse and before the whole almost-Archangel business.
Before Crowley had lost his mind and done something unforgiveable.

Ordered by Hell to produce a Nephilim child, Crawley procrastinates on the project until forced to find a wife among the daughters of Eve. This does not go well for anyone involved.

Looking carefully at his reflection, Crowley did seem to be a bit bulkier, even if he felt no different than ever. His arms and legs were less bony. Even his face was less angular than it had once been.

Aziraphale drew in a sharp breath when he felt it begin.
