“Ah! It is good to see the Arl of Redcliffe has returned with his ward,” the mage said with grandeur. “And it is my understanding that I owe you gratitude for protecting my elf.”

The man raised a dark eyebrow.
“A mage?” Alistair finished.
The man simply threw back his head and laughed heartily.
Eamon chuckled alongside him. “Alistair, allow me to introduce you to Lord Denarius of Minrathous. He is traveling through Ferelden on an academic exploration.”
