Achilles stood up. He had been expecting the stranger since Megaera had stalked past him, elegant despite the anger and blood dripping from her.
An AU where Zagreus was raised by Demeter and ends up fighting his way through the Underworld regardless - just in the opposite direction. Guarding the entrance out is the terrifying monster Cerberus, but guarding the entrance in is Achilles, best of Greeks. And he has strict orders not to let anyone in.

Hermes, that has been wandering life aimlessly since his birth, makes an attempt on his life. He is stopped by Charon, a strange God from a dying world, and immediately grows fascinated with this being that is so similar and yet so different.
Charon has always lived his life alone, separated from the others by his looks and his inability to talk, thinking that it was fine. When he meets bright and beautiful Hermes in the most dire of circumstances, he starts wanting more out of life.
There are meant for great things together. But, most importantly, they must discover themselves and who they really are... together.

Hypnos sat on the chaise lounge, no longer floating, and he listened as the Shades in front of him tells him all the gorey details about how they died, how they lived, and all the little inbetween details of the journey over, rating and reviewing his brothers and distant cousin’s work. His quill, magic as his rightmost finger, jotted down all the details. He only need remain awake.
But everything was already very fuzzy, and his heavy, weighted cape was half laid across him, so it was all coming together into that siren call of sleep. Hypnos was slipping further into the gentle call of his own realm.-

The sound of the armor against the metal of the sword cuts through his words, as though to emphasize them. “Let me just work through this, and perhaps you may help me fill in the blanks. But you’re an Olympic god, you dwell in utter ease in Zeus’s domain, drinking ambrosia all day and doing little else. And one day you realize you can die. And so it becomes a game to you. Meanwhile, I am dragged from my important work to take your soul to the Underworld, which I cannot do because you cannot stay dead, disrupting my duties for the day, and now you want me to drink ambrosia with you. Do I have this right so far?”
Zagreus, a perpetually bored Olympic god, finds some entertainment in dying again and again when he learns that the mysterious Thanatos is always summoned to collect his uncollectable soul.
