He was lost deep in thought when a snapping noise sounded behind him, yanking him out of his grieving haze. He whirls around, readying himself for potential attack.
As soon as his eyes focus on the figure behind him, he freezes.
He couldn't believe what he was seeing.
His mind couldn't be playing tricks on him this time, not when Avid was there directly in front of him. Not a shadow around a corner or a faint sound.
He was there, well and truly there.
Except something was clearly deeply wrong. The Avid that stood in front of him was not his Avid, not his innocent little fledgling.
What stood in front of him was a feral apex predator.

He stands behind him, leaving little kisses across his shoulders. "So cute, my pet," he croons, grabbing a hairbrush. "We're gonna dress you up all nice and pretty for me, ok?"
The fledgling nods, purring as he feels the brush's bristles glide through his hair pleasantly. Scott continues brushing far past what was actually necessary, simply letting Avid enjoy the feeling. After a bit, Scott grabs a pretty purple ribbon, using it to tie his hair back in a low ponytail.
He made Avid turn to look at himself in the mirror, "Look at how pretty you are, darling," he purrs, sliding a thumb across his bottom lip, making him take a sharp inhale, "your cute kissable lips, your lovely dark hair, your vibrant eyes with those pretty long lashes. I bet you'd look so beautiful crying for me," he leans in to hiss the last sentence into his ear making Avid gasp, keening lightly.
He whimpers as Scott tugs at the leash, guiding him to stand up from the chair. The tension had been brewing for days now; he wanted Scott to touch him so badly.

Now living in New York in 2006, Scott, Shelby, and Drift visit Avid’s grave every year while also stopping by to say hi to Cleo and Pearl. Summary
Almost two centuries after the events of Vampires SMP, the surviving vampires gather in Oakhurst to mourn and commemorate their fallen friends. Joining them are five humans who are eerily familiar--including one who kickstarts the beacons and locks them all in again.
Can the newcomers trust these people who are intertwined in their returning memories and who seem overly invested in their lives? Can the vampires escape Oakhurst without losing anyone else? And what the fuck happened to Avid?

People have visited the place for years because there presumes to be spirits wandering around. Ghosts, and they’ve been trying to tell their story. You said you want something new, well, nobody truly knows what occurred in Oakhurst.”

To Avid, it was the loudest thing he's experienced in his time of existing with the ability to have thoughts (considering he's undead, or maybe just dead). How many years has it been? Oh, not even he knows. He ceased counting a long, long while ago. He will wait, even if it's painful, for the moment he gets to feel the burn of the sun against his pale skin once more.
