The story of this fic will become clear over time but I hope people still enjoy it. I wrote it all in one go cause the ideas of where it went just flew into my head and I dissociated so frikkin' hard this weekend.
The premise, as always, is a character being gender swapped. Plot and story is the focus and it does become a bit more romancey, but eff it. I'm the writer, I'm allowed.As always,

Vincent is dead.
At least according to his employee file. If he's going to get his belongings back from what's left of Shinra, he needs a next of kin to come and get them. But the only way to get a next of kin is to marry one. Thankfully, Cloud is always willing to help out a friend and he's not so great at reading things before he signs them. As long as everything goes smoothly, he won't even know that he agreed to marry Vincent before Vincent collects his things and tears up the agreement.

And when you take your last breath on this Planet the scars you’ve inflicted would disappear alongside you. At least that was the hope. Though you aren’t really sure anymore. Maybe there was a better way to set things right.
You told yourself you’d accompany them until they arrived at the saucer, return to your work, and consider it another job well done, but with every day, even though it’s only been two short weeks, you find yourself wishing that you would never have to leave them.
