Growing up in the reclusive boundaries of the Shire, Bilbo Baggins learned early on that she had to ensure no one knew what she was. It had to remain secret. So she contented herself to a peaceful hobbitish life filled with books and tea, all to ease her intentional solitary lifestyle. Until she catches sight of Thorin. Not only is she a dwarf master of the forge, but she is a stunning Lady with a hidden past and even more dangerous secret than Bilbo's. And whats worse? She knows Bilbo's secret.
Pleasant warmth blanketed Bilbo inside and out. It felt natural to talk to Thorin and time slipped past her fingers as they connected. She had never felt so naturally drawn to someone. A shame she couldn't do anything about it. At least she could enjoy this moment together.
Any weak conviction that their touch was simply platonic was gone when Thorin's cool fingers brushed through her curls. Bilbo shuddered from the delightful touch. Thorin grinned, eyes half lidded as the hobbit melted into her side from the mere petting of her hair. "Thorin?" Bilbo's hand clutched her empty mug, desperate to stay tethered to something that wasn't the tempting dwarf.

Summary
The reason they compare Hobbits to rabbits is because most of them are rabbits! With the exception of the Took family, which is made up of coyotes, all Hobbits are born with the ears and tail of an animal, and when they grow up they can transform into that animal. And obviously it was a big surprise that when Bilbo Baggins was born, he had the ears and tail of a wolf, at least they thought he was a wolf, and at the age of 6 Bilbo turned into a Warg for the first time. And that changed his life, he lived in the Shire, but he was shunned and feared, and little by little he died of loneliness. Until he saved Thorin from entering the Old Forest, and found out about the quest. Feeling alive again, he embarked on an adventure and found his companion in Thorin.

Summary
Female hobbits are decidedly more fierce than their male counterparts. When Gandalf arrives at Bag End, he expects one Bilbo Baggins, son of Bungo Baggins, and to easily convince (read, manipulate) the Gentlehobbit into an adventure.
Instead, he finds Bilberry, daughter of Bungo and Belladonna, Ladyhobbit, landlady, and retired Captain of the Bounders.

After finding the city, it is different than talked about and Thorin is near death.

Another Battle of Five Armies fix-it, because we can never have too many stories where there is more to their story than death and grief. Though in this case, there is still some lingering grief. This timeline will be a mash-up of the book and movies, along with some lore and events from the later trilogy (LOTR), and assorted other Tolkien lore taken from various essays, works, and one very entertaining interview between Richard Armitage (Thorin) and Martin Freeman (Bilbo). „We all lost family that day,“ Balin choked out.
Bilbo stared at him across the fire.
„The day the dragon came,“ Dwalin continued in a low voice, „we‘ve lost our baby sister, our Freya. It was my fault. I should not have fought with her. I couldn’t find her that day, no matter how long I searched. I have no right to call myself her brother.“
Dwalin stood up and left the lit space. The company fell silent again.
The hobbit heard a lot of stories from the dwarrows along their journey, about home and family, but seldomly about loss and not once from Dwalin and Balin about the day the dragon came.
Bilbo could see how Balin sheepishly wiped away some tears, and he witnessed an expression in Thorins face he had never seen before. Regret and the pain of a broken heart.

Freya's ear itched as if someone was talking behind her back. Probably Thranduil, that pointy eared drama queen of the woodland realm. She shifted her attention back onto her son, a splitting image of his father, riding a large black bear as if it was a pony. She could not help but smile, pushing away the sorrow in her heart, as she thought about her brothers and how she had lost them the day the dragon came.

Hyacinth is just a hobbit, a working hobbit. And she needs to go over some what-ifs with one Bilbo Baggins regarding crop production and her families contract to rent his land. So she walks over there one evening around supper time. What she doesn't know, and neither does he, is that it's the same day thirteen dwarves and a wizard will pile in through his door and attempt to sweep him off on an adventure he's uninterested in. She is though. A chance to become rich, for her family to no longer have to rent their land? It's too good to miss. What she doesn't realize is just how different dwarves live their lives, just how many different ways they're allowed to exist. What will she learn about the world around her? What will she learn about herself with this new lens? Only one way to find out, and that's to step out of Mister Baggins' door, step out of The Shire, and head to The Lonely Mountain.
