Summary
Dean, Cas and Sam are called back to Grand Junction, Colorado and the Lost Creek Wilderness, where Dean and Sam once fought and killed a wendigo, years back. A town and area that Dean and Sam thought they’d long left in their rearview mirror. But something new has taken up residence in Blackwater Ridge, and it’s snatching up hikers at a much faster rate than the wendigo ever did. When they finally FIND the elusive monster, it turns out she’s actually a very old breed: Her name is Shrike, and she is a creature that is one-of-a-kind, without a designation (not even in Heaven’s rolodex, anymore), without a family and, of course, if the Hunters have anything to do with it, without a future.

Set immediately after Season 1, Episode 2: "Wendigo"
Dean loses the use of both hands during an epic battle with a Wendigo. The injury is temporary, but Dean’s used to cleaning the pipes at least once a day. Stuck in the hospital for almost a week, he's going out of his mind with sexual frustration. His brother’s been by his side the whole time and would do anything to help Dean out. He figures there's no real harm in asking Sam for a little assistance. After all, isn't that what brothers are for?
