‘If I promise to stop getting stuff in my hair, will you braid it again?’ Link asked ‘like, more often?’ hopefulness was laced in his eyes.
Revali slowly turned to stare hard at Link, dots slowly connecting in his mind. “If you’ve been purposefully dirtying yourself because of that, I’m going to throw you out a window”.
Link’s guilty chuckle was not a good answer.
And that’s why Revali was trying to throw Link out the window when Teba arrived to ask where the basin was. No Teba, Revali hasn’t snapped and proclaimed war on the hylians, just the one. No Teba, Revali’s not going to kill him as soon as you turn your head. Yes Teba, the hylian was asking for it.
In which Link is not a knight, and the things it changes.

Summary
Hylia’s chosen knight has fallen, his body broken beyond hope of saving. The Divine Beasts were all corrupted by Calamity Ganon’s emergence, their Champions slain. All but one, that is. The one who was last to send out his distress signal, his body found in the Tabantha Frontier barely clinging to life.
Revali.
He was brought to the Shrine of Resurrection on Zelda’s orders- their last hope with all else fallen.
One hundred years have passed since then, and a young Rito has awoken on the Great Plateau with no memory of who he is or where he came from. All he knows is there’s a voice calling to him, pleading for help.
And a hero must answer, to save them all.

Summary
Upon his travels, Kass discovers a Rito with a head injury and absolutely no idea who he is or where he's from, the day after the Calamity is finally sealed.
The timing of such a find coincidentally aligns with the crashing of the Divine Beast Vah Medoh, who is suspiciously devoid of a pilot despite rumours of the three other Champions being discovered aboard theirs - miraculously returned to the world of the living with all but a few remaining injuries.

Summary
Trapped in the Beasts, waiting for Link to free them, the Champions remember the Hero. Well, three do: Revali remembers Link, the silent knight who can't take care of himself and who, somehow, irritatingly, became a constant in his life.
As Link works to fulfill the Princess' commands, he tries to order the memories that press on him, inconsistent and confusing. But there's one voice that remains steady (if annoying), and in Rito Village, he finds the place that doesn't make demands of Hylia's Hero.
(Or, getting Link to the fight with the Calamity in one piece and then making sure he stays in one piece after. And eat. And sleep. And possibly have him and a certain [the best] Rito Warrior acknowledge *feelings*)

Summary
A mission out to Gerudo Town, one begged and pleaded for by the young Tulin, grants him an unexpected passage into the guarded society of the Gerudo after something of a miscommunication. It's all fun and games, seeing new sights and making new friends, and seems relatively inconsequential until things start to feel...different. Whether it's the newfound independence, the fresh step into brand new territory, or the fervent desire for something - not quite knowing what - Tulin struggles his way through to the other side, encountering things he had been expecting, and coping with things he hadn't.

“Mipha has been triggering some memories in my dreams, and I was hoping you could too? We didn’t know each other as long, I don’t think, but I’m sure we have some.” He looks up at Revali hopefully, but all emotions have vanished from his features.
“You… don’t remember me at all?” Revali asks, searching Link’s eyes, and he sounds almost desperate.

“Did it trigger a memory?” Teba asks, and Link nods numbly. “If I may ask,” He sounds hesitant, which doesn’t bode well, “In the memory, what color was the bead the champion placed in your hair when he braided it?” Link isn’t sure why that would matter, but he gives the information anyway. “Purple… you say.” Teba’s face is one of someone whose world has been turned on its axis.
“It would seem the stories the Rito passed down over the ages of our champion leave out an… important detail.” He manages finally.- Language:

Link finds himself drawn to the quieter corners of this Hyrule, often finding himself in the company of those he trusts, or spending time with certain individuals, with these moments having quite the lasting impact on him. Link has done a lot for Hyrule, maybe it's time he understands that he means a lot to many individuals, and has a lot in common with more people than than he realizes.
This fic is a collection of short stories, with each story focusing on a meaningful interaction between Link and a particular inhabitant of Hyrule, with said interactions having a profound impact on his life, in some way shape or form, either through a hard lesson learned, a reminder that he matters, or he's worth more than just his title.
