I was never satisfied with how Shriv said "Oh," after Iden's death in Battlefront 2: Resurrection. I feel like he felt a lot in that moment and did not have any time to process as both him and Zay needed to escape. I also imagine he wanted to keep his head clear for her sake. He had to be strong.
This fic is Shriv reflecting on his life as a soldier, what it all means, and coming to terms with the fact he's got a kid now.

Who were the members of Inferno Squad before they worked together? This is a collection of short stories exploring traumatic/happy childhoods, school drama, and stormtrooper adventures. Chapters are for the most part chronological, it's Del-heavy and all the childhoods are up first. When Han saved the man from the machines against his friend’s better judgement, he had no clue what he was getting himself into.
Well, he did find out pretty quickly that the man was a former cog in the Imperial war machine, but he hadn’t known about the awakening of a deadly force of evil from the long-gone Metal World hell-bent on killing said guy (and Han, too, by extension), and that he was being drawn into a terrifying race against time that if lost would mean destruction of what was left of humanity. Han didn’t even realize how high the stakes were until it was too late to back out, which was awfully inconvenient, considering his commitment issues and his bad habit of easily falling in love.
Did he sign up for this shit? No.
Also, he totally doesn’t have a thing for the ex-Imperial cyborg assassin whose ass he’s been forced to rescue at least a dozen times in the past two months.
He totally doesn’t.
