His head whipped to the side, breath catching in his throat.
Uranus locked eyes with the horrified little human behind the wheel.

And then he gains a hundred and twenty-eight more.
A hundred and twenty-eight new moons.
Bringing Saturn's moon count to a total of Two Hundred and Seventy-Four.
And Saturn, like the absolute moron he was, had not reacted well. At all.
"Saturn please come back!" Enceladus' voice cut through the panicked vog, making the tears prickling in his eyes feel way worse.
But Saturn did not stop running away.
Cosmos, he was pathetic.
Saturn was not surprised that he gained new moons. Neptune had gained two new little ones, and Uranus had recently received a baby too. The ringed planet knew very well anything was possible, and had expected to gain new faces to love and cherish.
He'd thought it would be like the ice giants. One or two.
He hadn't expected a HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT.

Saturn, overwhelmed by the fact that his moons have doubled in amount as well as the fear of hurting them... does not react well to his newest moons.

Earth stared at Jupiter in mild surprise. He wasn’t lying — what the living planet described sounded fun. Studying earthling culture has been one of his interests ever since he started reading mythology books, and it seemed like this Christmas market was a spring of traditions.
”I’m also interested!” Saturn chimed in, drinking the last sip of his coffee, “I’ve always wanted to check out the holiday trinkets earthlings have!”

“Last one to the rocky pocket is a square loser!”
Jupiter lifted his eyes from the book he was reading to look towards the asteroid belt, where he could already make out the features of the four rocky planets running his way. From what he could tell, Mercury was running full speed forward, with Venus following closely behind, yelling what Jupiter could only imagine were angry obscenities, while Earth and Mars were still going through the asteroid belt.

Once again, the star, planets, dwarf planets, and moons are summoned under an invitation to watch the next Earthling creation. This time, however, they are joined by an actual Earthling. And they are not so much 'watching' as they are 'listening'.
While the reluctant Astrodude is just trying to get through this new barrier standing between him and the end of his mission to go home to his wife and son, the rest of the Solar System is dealing with their own uncomfortable relations to the songs they are being presented with.

Summary
With each passing day, it only seemed to get worse. Venus’ taunts and insults would follow Mercury wherever he went, the remains of the Sun’s solarflares would burn into his crust like a brand, and all the while no one else seemed to care. The Earth and Mars preferred to play poker over worrying about him, and whenever he went to Jupiter, the other would turn him down with empty comforts and dull smiles.
Mercury was alone, and it was becoming too much. He tries to become distant from the other rocky planets, then tries to stand up for himself, only for an asteroid to hit him in the face and knock him out. Eventually, he recovers to find that nothing had changed in his absence. If anything, Venus, Mars and the Earth only grew closer, with the three of them playing cards together while the Sun pretended to care about Mercury.
...
He had reached his limit. He couldn’t deal with this anymore. It was torture, being trapped between Venus and the Sun as some sort of twisted plaything, it was torture, to see everyone else not give a shit about him, it was torture—
Mercury wanted to escape.
No- he needed to escape.
And so, one day, he tries to kill himself.

And I’m gonna be making a few more of these where the iris targets different plants or has different ideas or plans with different planets, or moons, this is the second I’m making!
The next one will be with Jupiter, maybe Planet X or Ganymede, still thinking on who I want to use cause I’m not going to do all of them..wellll maybe I’m not sure yet!
This may or may not have angst or pain in it I’m not sure yet. Just a bit of a warning in case it does lol
Oh but I’ll probably do another version of this with triton because I was thinking about using my idea from my videos on YouTube (or that I’m gonna do for my YouTube channel, so you’ll probably see another one with triton at some point)

Summary
In the original timeline, Planet X won the battle of Planet X from winning both the trivia round and the game of asteroid dodgeball. However, his victory was spoiled when Proteus went up to him and ended their friendship. This would in turn cause Planet X to leave, reconcile with Jupiter, and head forth into the cosmos with Guillermo, and maybe having a role in the upcoming arcs. However, this would also result in Uranus trying to follow him, Jupiter returning to the Sun’s anger and eventually following Uranus, Earth following Jupiter for answers concerning “Theia”, and eventually leading all the Planets to the Kuiper Belt and beyond, causing the Sun to go mad, make the moons planets, and probably more chaos we haven't yet seen. But what if, he didn’t leave? What if, instead of leaving when Proteus ended his friendship, he, for one reason or another, chose to stay. Would Jupiter ever return? Would the Solar System grow more stable? Would all life on Earth die as the asteroid belt grows more and more unstable? I suppose, the best place to start is when it all began…

But the worst was the silence. The hush that seemed to have taken over his beloved's orbit didn't fit, not Saturn. The giant was always talking to something, let it be his moons, another planet, the Sun, stars even himself. He chatted, giggled, sang, and danced- Saturn wasn't meant to be quiet.
And yet...
Jupiter's core broke when he finally caught sight of his other half in front of him.
He couldn't see well, for Saturn had his back turned to him, and was slumped forward- and yet, the way his shoulders hunched, how his hair seemed chaos, unkept and wild. It wasn't right. It hurt.
Almost as bad as the brand-new, shiny band of rings.

Jupiter’s core was suddenly filled with many different emotions - shock, excitement, even a bit of nervousness.
“W-We do?! Really?” The planet felt like running around, but stopped himself, hoping Sun would bring him to the new planet. And Sun seemed to know what he was thinking, as he started moving somewhere, Jupiter lightly bouncing in his hand.
