Four hums quietly. “Cloud season?” He asks. “What do you mean?”
Sky hesitates. “The clouds?” He says, releasing his free hand from his blanket prison to point directly out the window. He does not think he could be clearer if he tried. “On the ground? Where they aren’t normally?”

“Am I not a man?” The Captain asks him. A particularly angry ember pops and crackles in the quiet of the night, sending sparks scattering across the rough dirt. One lands next to his companion’s foot, and he smothers it absent-mindedly. To his credit, the Captain appears genuinely interested in the answer.
The Rancher makes a show of looking him up and down. He squints his eyes at his companion’s demeanour.
The Captain’s legs are positioned to run. Every swish of grass blades in the breeze, and the rustling of browning tree leaves, sends a tremor through the set line of his shoulders. His gaze never fully leaves their group. A royal knight – one trained to near-perfection, but not one accustomed to the company of people beyond his armed peers.
“…Nah,” the Rancher answers eventually, slouching back on the log. His hands come to rest behind him to support his sitting. “I see a boy with knight’s armour on.”

Summary
Usually when the Chain is in one of their own eras, the responsibility of leading them forward is given to whichever one of them said era belongs to, regardless of whether or not it’s one of their older members. After all, no one knows their surroundings better than the person who has lived there their entire life, so it’s not a hard choice to make, and though they all put their heads together to plan out what they should try to do in a general sense, nobody tries to argue with the resident Link on where they should be heading.
Which is why it’s so odd when Wild finds himself speaking up as they approach the forest they needed to go through.

“What do you mean, ‘I walked’?” Legend says incredulously.
The traveller frowns at the two of them. Slowly, he gestures at his feet. Once they are looking there, he walks a few paces forward and then points at the river.

“Uh…” Legend says, a bit lost for words. That is a feat in itself. He has too many words to lose them. “What are you doing?”
Wild looks up from where he is crouched, raising an eyebrow at the question. “What?” He asks. His hands are stained a deep black, liquid seeping into every crack and callous on his palms, dripping with blood and gore as he signs. Legend cannot stop the twitch of his eye. This is exactly why he wanted Twilight to deal with him.
He closes his eyes and counts to ten in his head, sending a silent prayer to the spirits that be to save him from this mess. As per usual, nothing comes to his aid. When he opens his eyes again, Wild has tilted his head and flared out his ears, looking every bit the wolf he claims he was raised by. A blood-soaked, infant wolf that does not understand why people are screaming as he carries a mauled hare in his mouth.
“Let me rephrase,” Legend sighs, pinching the bridge between his brows. Patience is a virtue denied to him time and time again. “Why are you doing that?”

So when Hyrule is all by himself, in a largely unfamiliar Hyrule, and he sees a seemingly abandoned pot with potential treasure inside that can also spin by itself? Of course he had to investigate. He had to understand where his friends were coming from. Maybe the ceramic conundrum could only be understood by those who participated in it. He had still been hesitant to shatter the pot unthinkingly and thought he would take a look inside to see if it was worth his time.
There was nothing inside. It was not worth his time.
Now his head is stuck in a potentially sentient pot, and he does not know where anyone else is to get it off of him, and he might never break free.
He should have just accepted the harp lessons.
