Whether predator or no, whatever approached was stealthy, large, and had a strong Force signature. As it came closer, he finally made out the sound of its paws in the grass, moving slowly, methodically, taking one careful step at a time.

Surely, there was another purpose for them now beyond merely seeing to the safety and training of Force-sensitives. Things couldn’t stay peaceful forever, could they?
A one-shot continuation of You and Me Against the Galaxy. Can be read alone if you don't feel like reading 138,000 words; just roll with the background setting and you'll be able to follow this flufftastsic monstrosity easily enough.
This fic is overall rated T with one section that is the lightest Mature rating ever (I know, who am I??) that is clearly marked off for easy skipping in the first chapter; there's also a chapter note to warn you of the whole whopping like paragraph and a half of it. The rest of it is just...fluff. So. Much. AU. Fluff.

He could only hear the roar of the flames and the sounds of explosions and metal being ripped apart, the only thing he could smell was fire and acrid smoke, the only thing he could feel was searing heat, and in the force, all he could sense was the shield he had created to hold back the explosion. His family was gone, to him at least. As soon as he had jumped from the ship, he had lost all sense of where Hera was, he couldn’t hear her, he couldn’t feel her hands on him, and he couldn’t sense her in the force. Ezra and Sabine had been in the ship too, he had heard them, felt them, but now all he could feel was the fire. -

“Specter is another word for spirt or ghost, Hera thought it was poetic” Kanan shrugs halfheartedly, “Do you have a better idea for a code name?”.
