Summary
Everything was always under some sort of pretense with Lucienne. They didn’t hang out unless it was a study session. Every kiss was for ‘good luck’ on the next test (and their frequency ebbed and flowed with the intensity of the school year). Sex couldn’t be because they wanted it—because they were attracted to each other, they knew how to please each other better than anyone else—it had to be a means to an end.
Sometimes the end was stress relief around final exams and project deadlines. Sometimes it was practicing business tactics while in high stress environments (She had, on several occasions, made Margaret quiz her when she was knuckles deep in Luci, answering flawlessly in between pants and moans). Sometimes it was for Luci to perfect the domineering persona required to get ahead in business.

There's a confidence to her that Lucienne never saw when they worked for UFTP, something more genuine and relaxed in the way she moves around the ship. Even Lucienne has a hard time flustering her anymore; at least, most of the time.
She waits until most of the crew is around, when Maggie is in her element, and drops her trump card as casually as she can.
