Summary
Reader hasn’t had much luck with groups, or people in general, since the Rain started. When they’re captured by an Apollon facility as a test subject and manage to escape, they stumble upon a group of survivors. The are drawn to one of the members; in particular, a standoffish ex-soldier named Martin.
A short little hurt/comfort angsty series about my favourite character in The Rain, with a twist of soulmate AU and bite sized (under 1k) chapters :)

A flame erupted into the dark room. Martin's hand reached out and found the back of Patrick's neck - the man flinched, but didn't try to move away. "Martin?"
He leaned closer, the flame engulfing the end of the joint Patrick had surprised him with. "...You have to torch it." Patrick whispered, the flame flickering with his breath. Martin looked up at him and narrowed his eyes, but held the joint in the flame longer. He squeezed the back of Patrick's neck, and nearly froze when he made a noise. It wasn't a yelp - it was too quiet to be a yelp, but it was close.
