Mini-Sequel to "Night Cap"
It has been almost year since Anton and Viago opened the "Fang and Claw Campgrounds," a place for new fledgling paranormal youths could socialize and come into their own. And in fact, almost an exact year since Anton and Viago became mated for life, in effect turning Viago into a dhampir, or "living vampire."
Now, it's their one year anniversary, and Anton has a surprise party planned. Unfortunately, becoming life-mates with a werewolf comes with a few... surprises. Anton's beastly instincts begin to take over the closer they get to that one year mark, so much so that it just might ruin the surprise.
In more ways than one.

“And if we cannot do that?” Nandor asked. “What happens then?”

Summary
Much to Viago’s heartbreak, Katherine refuses his offer to turn her into a vampire and spend eternity with him. After being grief stricken for months, the vampires recruit Anton to help Viago process his grief (or as Vladislav calls it: be an emotional support dog). As a result, the two grow closer. Suddenly, news arrives. The supreme international vampiric council is arranging Viago to marry a woman he has never met nor loved to strengthen political alliances.
Anton accidentally volunteers to play Viago’s fake boyfriend to get the council to back off. After all, that’s what friends are for right? Haha… It’s not like they’ll ACTUALLY fall in love, right? :) -

Anton sometimes wonders where the hours in the day go. When he has time to, that is. Things are usually pretty flat out looking after the pack and balancing everything that goes with it; sorting out their little tiffs and squabbles, making sure that each newbie has a chain of command they can turn to for the first year or so of their turning in case they have any questions or queries or breakdowns, that sort of thing. Over the years it's morphed into so much more though. One day it was making sure they got an equal go on the Nintendo and then suddenly it was playing marriage counsellor between one of his pack mates and their missus.
