A tentative knock on the door had Lucifer shooting upright, the comforting pressure of him against Alastor's back vanishing as abruptly as a tablecloth being yanked out from under the dishes. Alastor made a discontented sort of sound, and Lucifer put a hand on his hip, claws curling around it as his eyes flashed to red – and something in the air bristled.
Like Lucifer was gearing up for a fight.
With a sigh of static, Alastor pushed himself up onto an elbow, rolling onto his back as the blankets slipped down to his waist.

Sequel to Radio Reign
A few months have passed since the end of Alastor's rule over Hell, and Charlie is working to restore her home to what it's former... glory, she supposes. But she also has to deal with the trauma from her experiences with the Radio Demon. It's all too fresh.
Not only that, but she also must juggle her queenly duties, the hotel, and all the struggles and suffering her people went through. Some that she wasn't aware of had happened. Not to mention keeping the powers of the Root of Evil under control less she end up becoming corrupted.
But if her problems weren't enough... the main source of it has plans to enact revenge. Including a woman who's ready to see the queen fall into a dark pit of sin.
It's no big deal, though. As long as she has her loved ones by her side, Charlie can handle all that will be thrown her way... right?

“Why is your shadow freaking out on the other side of the room?” the ex-exterminator asked flatly, sounding incredibly unamused. He looked over to where she was pointing, his eyes narrowing as he saw the way it was darting around the kitchen door.
It felt his attention and stilled, the picture of submission.
“We are not on speaking terms at the moment, dear,” Alastor informed her mildly.
She blinked, crossing her arms over her chest.
“That is an ominous and horrifying thing to hear, and I haven't had enough coffee to deal with whatever weird shit you've got going on,” Vaggie deadpanned, turning away.
