After four months, this is finally done!! Each one-shot takes its name from a different song from Demon Days. Most go by the canon established by Newsies (1992). I do not own Gorillaz, Newsies, or any other copyrighted material referenced in these one-shots.

Summary
Les begins to drift off, the grief and anger of the day leaving his body to form a heavy, numbing blanket of exhaustion over his mind and body. The quiet tones and David and Sarah are white noise to Les’s sleep, and he’s not quite sure why they sound so hushed, so angry, so secretive, but he’s not going to give it much thought right now.
“You can’t just shoot people, Dave, that’s not how this works.”
Or, he wasn’t until right then.
(Let it be known that Les Jacobs is far from stupid, and that there are quite a few things that the newsies don’t know about the Jacobs family.)
