Morty gulped and rubbed his arm, wearing a long hoodie to cover the scars he's been leaving on himself. Rick wasn't saying anything, but his grip on his flask was white-knuckled, and when he looked at Morty...well, let's just say if looks could kill, Morty would be dead. Rick gritted his teeth and clenched his fists "Morty do you have ANY idea how valuable that was!?" "R-Rick! I'm sorry I just-" "Just what!? Just can't do anything with your grandpa holding your hand every step of the way!?" "I messed up! I'm sorry okay!?" "Sorry doesn't cut it! Sorry won't give me the materials I need. now will it?!" "We can just go back-" "No we fucking can't Morty, that planet only allows visits once in every 1000 years!" "Then why not use your portal gun-" "That planet only exists in our dimension you fucking idiot! You fucked it all up!" "I'm sorry ok!?" "Shut the fuck up!" “Rick!” Morty scrambles, going ramrod straight. “I— I was— I was just—” His poor attempt at a good excuse falters as he lays eyes on the other Morty, picking himself up off the ground. “…Rick?” Morty says again, wary and hesitant all wrapped up in one. “Why… Why is there another Morty with you?”
The Other Morty glares at Morty first before his attention shifts to Rick. Both of them are on their feet again, and Rick knows the calm before the storm before it happens. “So we’re doing it here? In front of your perfect, little Morty?”
Behind him, Morty shuffles back. “R— Rick?”
“Under the table, Morty.” Rick tells him quickly, leaking urgency into his voice.
Morty moves, diving under the workbench where a protective bubble is activated immediately. At the exact same time, Other Morty launches himself at Rick, and Rick narrowly dodges the punch.
(Rick never had a Morty from his dimension, but there was one before Prime’s Morty that could’ve been considered his. He should’ve anticipated him turning out to be a supervillain because of him but now he knows. And it’s time to mend the gap.)

I was drinking, I threw my head back and groaned when I realized that my flask was empty. I went to to the kitchen to refill it, Morty was walking past the kitchen and peered over. That fucking nosy little shit. "U-uhm Rick...y-you already drank a lot today..." Morty oh so kindly pointed out. Oh no really? I thought 3 bottles was too much. "Oh really? Thanks for pointing that out Morty, I would've neverrrr found that out by my-*burp*-self." I japped, rolling my eyes.
"Look at you, fucking pathetic, you are just a pathetic fucking alcoholic, but you don't care, do you?"
I clenched my jaw. Don't know why my inner voice felt the need to point it out. It's none of their fucking business. I reached for another bottle and Morty held onto my arm. "R-Rick...please just..." I ripped my arm out of his grip and grabbed a bottle. Morty held onto the lab coat. That stubborn dumbass. Heh. Guess he got that from me.
"Nope, he got it from Prime. You aren't his grandpa, remember?"

He was asleep, he looked so peaceful when he's asleep, so much different then how he usually saw Morty, yelling, running, and overall just being anxiety if anxiety was a person. He took a syringe and injected it into Morty's cheek letting out a deep sigh. A churning in his gut formed with the knowledge that this was his fault. Rick's inner voice insulted him "You don't deserve his forgiveness. You're a piece of shit."

Me and Rick were running from a big green beast, seeking human flesh. Aw jeez...why does this always happen? Rick was ahead of me...he always was my side felt like knives were poking into it, and I was quickly getting out of breath
"Fucking weak..can't even take 2 steps without getting out of breath..." My inner voice spat out, the poison seeping out of their voice. I felt tears sting my eyes. Why did I have to be so weak?! This voice was hurting me! It wasn't even REAL!
I collapsed when I couldn't run over, my hands gripping the ground for dear life as I attempted to catch my breath, I was hunched over, feet unable to move anymore and my stomach churning. I felt a wave of nausea crash over me. I quickly began dry heaving, the monster getting closer to me. Rick sent me a glare that could kill. "MORTY! What the fuck are you doing!? RUN!" I tried to move my legs, but they wouldn't budge "I-I-I can't...I I-" I gagged as I held onto my stomach, my breath quickening as I heard the monster getting closer. This was going to be it I was going to die.

Rebel Rick (C-1031) has been doing pretty well for himself for a while in dimension C-142. He has a version of his family that’s learned to love him, with a Beth who wasn’t murdered as a baby and a Morty to go on adventures with. After a hard life fighting the Galactic Federation and hunting the Rick that killed his original family, it’s nice.
Until the same evil Rick from thirty years ago tracks him down, brutally murders his grandson, and destroys his family’s home and any means of helping Morty or cloning him in time to save his memories.
Desperate to get his Morty back somehow—not a clone with generic memories, or a Morty from another universe—Rebel Rick turns to C-137 and Morty Prime for help. There’s still no guarantee his plan will work the way he means for it to, but he has to try.
