Summary
It's an especially clear night, and the river of stars stretching above them is bright and sparkling. The next settlement is still quite a distance away, so there's nothing to disrupt the view of the night sky—no artificial light besides Fenrir’s to distract from the lights above.
Finally, Sephiroth seems to have had his fill of the stars—for now—and leans against Cloud again with a sigh. His hands rest underneath Cloud’s jacket, fingers spread over his ribs above the tank top. His nose nudges the back of Cloud’s neck as he breathes in deeply and then all but nuzzles his face into Cloud’s hair.
On the handlebars, Cloud’s fingers briefly clench as he feels his cheeks start to blush.
Did Sephiroth…
…miss him?

Aerith pauses mid-sentence, turning to face him. The moon shines off her face, her eyes twinkling like the stars, the soft skin of her shoulders like gilded marble in the moonlight, “What do you think, Cloud?” she asks, expectantly.
What does he think?
He thinks she is beautiful.
He thinks the way her ribbon flutters in the breeze makes his stomach swoop in ways that feel both exhilarating and terrifying.
He thinks he would traverse time and space, go to the ends of the universe and back in this lifetime and the next just to sit with her quietly, like this, and listen to her talk about nothing and everything for the rest of forever.And before he can stop himself, the words spill out.
“You know I love you, right?”

So, with all that in mind, here we have a post Advent Children setting in which Reeve's curiosity about the island where Cloud found the Knights of the Round materia gets the better of him; he somehow coaxes Cloud into some scouting and exploration to see if there is anything else 'of interest' on the island.

He's waiting for the unavoidable moment of Sephiroth return, when he will finally be needed again. When he will do his duty and fight, and protect the Planet one more time.
But until then, he has no point, no purpose. He spends his days in a haze, waiting for time to pass.
Until, at last—Sephiroth returns and Cloud finally feels alive again.

Summary
Once, many years ago when Cloud was just a trooper, he was sent to pick up an injured SOLDIER and take him to his next mission. Sick and injured, Genesis was in no shape to be doing anything of the sort. The SOLDIER didn't really understand why Cloud stuck around to help him out, but he appreciated it far more than Cloud ever knew.
Genesis made Cloud promise to come see him in Midgar and watch Loveless together once he'd made SOLDIER himself, but after failing the exams Cloud was too embarrassed to seek him out.
A new theater opening in Edge sends Cloud a complimentary ticket to the famous play, and Cloud decides its time to keep his promise to at least watch it even though the man he'd briefly fallen in love with is long dead.
