9 Years have passed since the main events of the murder drones series, after terraforming the planet to make it less of a shithole place to live in, the main cast have settled comfortably in their new lives, but all good things have to end at some point do they? A nearby human remnant fleet has detected the anomalies in Copper-9's terraforming project and are determined to investigate it, will they be able to co-exist with the Worker Drones and mend old scars from years past, or will the conflict between man and machine rage on in a never-ending total war?

K and H live on titanium-8, or at least what remains of the war torn monster infested planet. K is a no nonsense rebellious but slightly stupid murder drone with a heart of gold (literally) while H is a studious worker drone with the social skills of [insert unsocial thing here] and an absurd amount of book smarts. Both of them discover a remnant of humanity thought to be an urban legend: the cable man, a man who has unknown powers relating to self replicating magnetic cables and a serious hatred for something called “the absolute solver” probably just some crazy guy spouting some nonsense to the impressionable youth … or is he correct and will he bring the girls on a whole rollercoaster of totally not traumatic events?

N wasn't the type to believe in cryptids or supernatural folklore, especially the idea of "murder drones" which just seems to be a modern mechanical twist on stories of old. The idea of worker drones, with all their tracking technology just suddenly disappearing without a trace at the fault of an undetected race of robots living in the woods seems out of the question!
N was so, so wrong...

Uzi Doorman is tasked with a project from her father, Khan, to reinforce the bunker with extra layers of protection a few months after the battle with Cyn. Unfortunately, she lacks the specific parts she needs, and decides to sneak out to retrieve them. However, she doesn't make it out the door without a surprise visit from V. After some bickering, the two of them go out together to retrieve the items Uzi needs, resulting in some arguments, bonding, an unexpected fight, fear, and comfort.
Basically, these two idiots are so stupidly in love and argue at every minor thing. They get closer to one another but unexpectedly deal with complications neither of them know how to openly talk about. Also I'm a whore for disassembly drones with animalistic features.

V never wanted to be a Disassembly Drone. J never wanted to be responsible for keeping them both alive. Zara and Tessa never asked to be solver vampires.
But after the gala massacre and the subsequent fall of Copper-9, the company is scrambling to clean up its image—by repurposing thedisassembly drones turned by the solver into enforcers and sending human hunters to deal with the growing Solver threat.
