"Monsters aren’t exactly pack animals like wolves. They just follow whichever one’s the biggest and act purely based on greed and violence. They’re happy to follow orders as long as they get their cut. Which is usually the promise of fresh flesh.
The scouts said the monsters were following paths. On a schedule. Almost like they’re planning and guarding. That…isn’t right. Something is definitely up.
The worst part of it is that a lot of the paths they’re taking seem to be cutting off a random average sized fishing village to the south. Lutelin Village. Yeah, Green can see why they had been specifically called to handle this one."
There's a monster mystery going on, and there's plenty of blood to be lost. Hopefully Red won't get lost in it.

Vio didn’t expect to enjoy this. Vio didn’t expect a lot of things. How warm Shadow’s hand felt in his, how carefully he held it so his claws didn’t scratch him. The easy back and forth they naturally fell into. While he was right that he didn’t fully understand what Vio was getting into, he listened. Shadow listened and responded and asked relevant questions. Vio was starting to think that he truly cared.

Basically it's just projecting onto Vio as well as a slight character study. The whole fic kinda felt like a dream when I was writing it.
