This will be a collection of snippets (probably short, likely unedited) written for the FFXIVWrite 2024 challenge. I'll mostly be using this as an excuse for daily writing, but also as a chance to explore characters I haven't written before, both canonical and OC. Tags will be updated as the challenge continues. Current thematic focus is on exploration, outsiders, and new beginnings.

“What are you doing here? We only just got back. Your report isn’t done yet,” Fordola growled. The light from the doorway seemed to make her golden hair glow, like some blasted saint come to bestow her blessings. Fordola forced herself to look away instead of stare.
“I’ve come to take you shopping!” Lyse trilled. “You’ll want something nice for the Starlight Ball.”

In the wake of the Bloody Banquet, Redolent Rose takes an interest in learning self-defense, and who better to ask than his most adventurous friend and protégé? (Practically anyone else -- someone not in exile, for one thing -- but he might just not be completely honest with himself about why he wants to see the Warrior of Light so badly.)
Tsubame Chikarashi, the Warrior of Light and now Ul'dah's most wanted woman, has every reason to stay in hiding in Ishgard... but Limsa Lominsa should be safe enough, and who is she to turn down a friend? (Especially this particular friend. Never mind why. Maybe she's allowed to want something for herself once in a while?)
A brisk training session might be just the thing. It's got all the keys to mental clarity: physical activity, a small stuffy room, a pair of overly-tight trousers...

A collection of short fics done for the #ffxivwrite2021 writing challenge. As someone who never finishes/posts anything due to overlarge project ideas, perfectionism, and over-editing forever, this challenge was perfect for me!
This is mostly about my WoL and other FFXIV OCs that I have. Limited NPCs, oops. Many different POVs.
These were all written in gdocs. I wanted to edit them after the event and make them all pretty before posting here, but I figured that might be against the spirit of the event. So here they are, in unedited glory! If I ever choose to edit/extend any of these, I will post as a separate fic.
