I don’t want that, and setting aside the part where I love you, brother, the very thought of it is abhorrent to me, to my very nature! And I don’t want to see that poor women withered away into little more then a spiritual tumour for you to bare!”

Lilly's gaze fixed on his eyes and the stars, the galaxies, the universe in his pupils. When he reached for her she stepped back with a gasp. “What are you?”
“I am everything I have ever told you I am, that my sister told you I am. You just didn’t understand, didn’t appreciate, the scale of what that meant. I have never lied to you, Lilly.”

Hob moved out of the way and the person, a man, cursed as he smashed into the coffee table. But it had been too late for him to notice the second man and a strong man wrapped around his chest as a rag was held against his nose and mouth.
