Summary
The world does not look with kindness upon those who dare to stand up against the rich. Chelsea Bowen had tried and landed herself on death row for arson and domestic terrorism. Quite the resume for a nineteen-year-old. She had been content with her lot in life, even if the last of it would be spent rotting in a prison cell. That was, until Urbanshade came along.
Now, she was an Expendable, descending into the depths of the Hadal Blacksite to retrieve loose assets and a glowing orange rock. Along the way, she would encounter horrors not meant for human eyes, a sentient AI with an affinity for mischief, and a fish man with a gruff sense of humor and a temper shorter than a ruler. It was there that she would encounter hardships greater than anything she had ever faced, and found friends (and possibly even family) in the most unlikely of places. She changed, grew, and experimented. Throughout it, she had one goal: to make it out alive and earn her freedom. Maybe, she wouldn't have to do it alone.

Summary
After several years stuck in an alien submarine at the bottom of the oceans on a foreign planet, Alterra maintenance technician Ryley Robinson hijacks the submarine's subsystems during an emergency warp. Drained of power, the submarine emerges right where Ryley wanted - the oceans of Terra itself, humanity's homeworld.
The problem being...while it's WHERE he wanted, in a vague sense, it's precisely where and WHEN the sub emerged that proves to be troublesome. Unable to remain in the barely-functioning submarine, Ryley ends up forced into exploring a decrepit undersea wreck of a base. One over seventy thousand feet below the waters of the North Sea, shrouded by an anomalous veil. The Hadal Blacksite is the final obstacle between Ryley and freedom, and he doesn't have a death-collar aimed at his neck nor a lack of tools at his disposal. But when one can't simply resurrect from death, it'll take more than brute force to get through the dangers presented by this facility.

After freeing herself from Urbanshade's radar, Kari begins to plot her escape out of the hellish halls of the Blacksite, but it proves to be more difficult than she had anticipated.
Met with the Saboteur himself, he reminds her of the very reason she's in there to begin with. She's determined to escape and reclaim her life; she just hopes she can convince those around her to aid her, rather than kill her.
