This year's Helmet Swap is extremely emotional, because many will leave, while others are writing a new chapter in their careers. Nevertheless, it still brings that warm feeling to the drivers' chests, and makes the room light up with magic and kindness, even if just for one day!

Monaco rolled around. The retirement jokes began. Daniel began bitching to Michael, ranting at the injustice. Ranting at how quickly he could go from being beloved by the public to being laughed at and abused online.
“They can all fuck right off. Absolute fuckers, every one of them,” Daniel spat with passion. “Fuck ‘em all”
Michael looked on calmly. He then fished a sharpie out of his pocket, and took Daniel's helmet out of its bag. He handed them both to Daniel, not saying a word.
Daniel looked at the offering, then back up to Michael’s eyes. He took them from his friend, one of the few he even trusted anymore. The letters were positioned on the back of his helmet, towards the left, where he knew would be in prime position for the camera.
