The town of gravity falls had a UFO beneath its surface. Turns out this ship was actually created by gems and was sent to Earth.
Dipper and Mabel are back for the summer. Stan and Ford are back too to see everyone. Dipper and Ford decide to further look into the UFO...

After saving the universe from Homeworld, Steven thought everything would be perfect. Instead, he feels like he is a failure. Where he used to be so helpful, he finds himself unneeded. When he tries to help, he makes things worse. And what is the point in trying to help if everyone if moving on without him? He's not needed. He's just holding them back. This is not what he thought his future would be like. This is not the future he wanted. But what can he do about it? He didn't want things to change, but everything is changing anyway. And then, someone tells him what he wants to hear. That he is needed. That there is a place where he belongs, but he must be willing to go into the unknown to find it.

2003. Man, what a year. Remember that year, anyone? I was in kindergarten, getting fun of because my name was "Laramie" and having some not-so-nice body dysmorphia, but still rocking it. Trying to dodge the bullies that came, eating all the ube I wanted, and visiting my cousins pretty much at least once every two weeks. (I wasn't the most social kid back then.)
In 2023, kindergarten became relevant again, in more ways than one. For one, my current bully, Lisa, announced that she'd been working at the hospital for the past two years. Ick. For another, at this specific ceremony, they served as much ube as I think I've seen at one time. And for another, a door closed on a bridge. And that bothered me for...a long time. Tied into the ceremony, too. And, oh yeah. I became a part-time space pirate while maintaining my job at the Big Donut and dating some new people on and on besides Sadie (gasp!) I know...I'm a badass. (The healthy kind.)
I can only imagine what happened in the years in between.
Good thing this story's about to tell you.
And thank GOD I'm not the same person I was in 2016. -
