for the purposes of this fic, the arrakore/rox/nya/sora fight didn’t happen until after jayrogue was dragged back to the monastery (and somehow sora was still there… just go with it idk) and he gets poofed into the fight, too. although he and his shattered soul are quick and eager to jump to any violence presented, this time is different. in the presence of the last remaining djinn, he is wracked with panic that he can’t place. of course, nya knows exactly what’s happening, it happened to her the first time she met arrakore during her and sora’s travels after the merge, but she’s the only one who remembers her and jay’s last encounter with a djinn.
after that, jayrogue is plagued with nightmares. nya is the only one who is able to comfort him, because she’s the only one who truly understands what he fights in his sleep.-

Summary
Stuck in Northern Ninjago and moving from village to village looking for Wu, Jay and Cole have their own demons they're battling. Cole is concerned about the weight he's gained since Wu's disappearance, feeling like he's gone soft and his body isn't the temple it should be. Jay is trying to hide the freckles and scars that litter his body, but makeup is really hard to come by out here.
They're also fighting the deep attraction they feel for each other...
Though, one snowed-in night in an abandoned hunting cabin alone with each other is all it takes for several truths to come out.

Summary
Jay was an amazing person and ninja, and he had changed so much, proving to her over and over how willing he was to be the right man for her. Nya already knew about the reflection Jay had seen of the two of them together in the future, and that knowledge gave her a sense of relief. No matter what happened, fate would bring them back together. She hoped so, at least.
Would they also have a home away from Ninjago like the Walkers? What would happen to the other ninjas? Nya could picture Lloyd older, standing at the head of a dojo, training a new generation of Elemental kids.
Fire, Earth, Ice, Energy, and finally Lightning and Water. There were so many more, she had seen plenty of them back in Chen’s Tournament. Lightning and Water were her favourites though; maybe she was a little biased, who knew.
Jay and her… would they have children? Two of them, maybe with their same powers. A storm, born to continue their legacy. The image made her throat tighten. Would they suffer as much as they have and will?
Or,
Jay finally takes Nya to have dinner with his parents.
