Rusty dreams of going into the forest. But when he finally decides to go, instead of being welcomed, he's met with hostility. Then, not wanting to remain a housecat, but unwilling to join the dangerous and agressive wildcats, Rusty flees into the unkown.
However, he will not be alone. Accompanied by his old friend Smudge and his sister Princess, he finds a gorge away from the city, where he and his friends may finally belong.
Or: a rewritten version of Into The Wild, where Rusty/Firestar isn't invited to join ThunderClan and rebuilds SkyClan instead.
