Keith hasn't been well, not since the night Lance stormed out of his apartment, all of his belongings in tow. When he sees him for the first time in months, Lance does not recognize him, and Keith discovers that he's had all memory of their relationship wiped. Furious, heartbroken, and helpless, Keith decides to do the same to save himself: Forget. Forget Lance.

Cleaning the flight suits after battle was a chore Lance started picking up pretty early on.
Their paladin armor was self-cleaning and repairing thanks to the magic infused in them by Alfor, but the flight suits underneath were almost normal fabric. Of course, they were a weird Altean fabric and thus different from any clothing the paladins would see on Earth, but still fabric nonetheless.
And so, they needed to be cleaned.

“What game do we play?” Lance asked quietly, defeated. It felt wrong to put the choice on Keith, they were both as clueless and taken by surprise. But Kieth always had a plan, whether it was reckless or not. If any of them would know what to do it would be Keith.
“A simple one. We’ll play with just one marble. Whoever gets it closest to the wall wins” Keith gestured to the brick wall near them.
“Who goes first?”
“You. You’re numbers lower” he reasoned logically. Emotionless. Too caught up in facts and reality to let the vulnerability of the situation show. It annoyed him. Unfortunately, it was just like Keith to disconnect and make it easy for the others to hate him.
In a way, that was the nicest thing Keith could do in the situation.

A year later his homeroom teacher notices the bruises on Lance’s arms and calls CPS. He’s held in a white room with an X-box and child friendly games while his parents argue with the care worker. He trusts his parents and he’s not stupid. He knows what’s happening while he beats Donkey Kong. His mother and father grab him two hours later after his physician comes to explain the situation. Apparently, it’s a frequent occurrence for parents who abuse their children to blame it on the skin-to-skin soulmate marks. Lance feels a little sick when his father explains the situation to him.
The year after that he gets the cuts. Thin red lines going across his right and left wrists alternatively, disappearing after a day or two depending on the severity of the injury. Lance is twelve years old and he knows about this stuff. Knows what it means and how his soulmate must feel to cause it. He cries alone in his room until his older brother storms in and demands he comes down to dinner. The resulting talk removes the boy’s appetite.- Language:

Keith had forgot about college, he was too busy being sad all the time. And then it hit him, he was depressed again. Keith hid his face in his hands, partly to hide from pidges eyesight and because he hated that he was back in this state again. Shiro told him he would get better, and Here he is just two years after trying to kill himself, wanting too again.
Keith let out a surprised whine, his thoughts scared him so badly.
“When’s the last time you took a shower?! Ate a meal?! Taken care of yourself?!” Pidge’s voice was breaking by this point, and that made Keith feel worse. “What’s been going on with you lately?! You used to be happy!”
