Maybe she wasn't anywhere near irresistible enough to compare to her glamorous twin sister, but as the spinsters she occasionally tended to told her: she was certainly lovely enough to marry a nice man, live a good life, and use her skills as a healer to help Gavaldon for the rest of her life.
Maybe it wasn't what her princess sister wanted for either of them, but Agatha knew that if she were to (impossibly) end up at the School for Good and Evil, she would end up as nothing but a nameless background character. She would miss her sister if she got taken.

Some things to note:
1. Watched Charlize Theron as Lesso for the first time yesterday - be still my heart, she was a screen-stealer (and looks ridiculously good as a red head) 💕 also, School for Good and Evil abbreviates to SoGaE in my head and you can't tell me differently.
2. I have not read the books and have no intention of doing so (sorry, Soman, we love you really). This is a 'Lady Lesso as she exists in the movie' only vibe because *insert section of gushing praise for Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington and their on-screen character's jUsT fRieNds status*.
3. I recently re-watched the Secret Garden (Frances Hodgson Burnett) and have adapted (read: stolen) that scene between Mary and Colin.
4. Howl is my baby vampire OC and I want to add her into every fandom to allow me to bring out The Mothers of All Evils. This is her first official cameo.
5. I might be persuaded/ interested in writing more snippets of life for the Dean of Evil and her other little monsters. Will see if this goes up or down like a lead balloon.

Agatha of Woods Beyond has a soulmate, okay? No matter how many startled looks Sophie gives her when her marks are visible, or how many times her mother talks about how witches have nemeses, not soulmates, Agatha still has a soulmate. How does she know? When witches discover their nemeses, they lose any semblance of beauty they have (at least, that’s what Callis says), but when people have soulmates they gain small flower tattoos in each place their soulmate is injured. They’re permanent.NOTE: This is based on the book, not the film because I preferred the books lol. Felt that I should express my obsession with them through art and stop annoying my friends with it.
EDIT: The storyline/plot follows the book (with divergence for obvious reasons) but the characters and settings I imagine to be from the movie (aside from the circus), and also I keep imagining Gregor kinda existing in the background of this.Series
