To make matters worse, the man was dead-set on him being his personal plaything, a pet of sorts...

At first, Tim wants nothing more than to get strong enough to make an escape. But after a while- once he's truly gotten to know the former Robin, he's not quite so sure he wants to leave anymore. Or if Jason could take it if he did.Of course that's when everything falls apart.

Just your typical Tim-centric fic where Tim completely disregards the space-time continuum to exercise his genius intellect, spite-fuelled bullying against anyone who crosses him and forces Bruce to learn how to make friends.
The entire room falls silent. Luthor turns slowly.
Dick is face down in the carpet, eyes watering from the effort of holding back snickers.
Bruce whispers harshly near Tim's ear, "You did this on purpose."
Tim looks at him with wide, incredulous eyes which might say "I have no idea what you mean" but he's hoping says, "Well, obviously."
Then Luthor starts shrieking and Dick loses his fight, devolving into cackles.
OR: When Tim is sent back in time, he thinks this might finally be when he can rest. But vigilantism is a possessive lover and he soon finds himself back in the game. It's business as usual, just years in the past. That's what he thinks at first, but the shadows cling to his new life and he begins to have the irksome feeling that there's something bigger afoot.

Summary
When they accidentally cause trouble for the wrong mob boss, Jack and Janet Drake come up with a completely flawless plan: return to Gotham to retrieve their son, fake the deaths of their entire family, then flee to Belgium. Tim can see a number of issues with this, mainly that (1) it's the stupidest thing he's ever heard, (2) his parents are definitely lying to him about something, and (3) Belgium. With all to play for, it's now up to Tim to create a believable narrative and avoid getting caught by any means necessary - even if that means traumatising the odd vigilante or two. He's willing to do whatever it takes to protect his family.
