Summary
Fresh out of school, with nothing but a piece of cardstock to his name, Gavin sat in his unfurnished apartment, the warmth in his pocket slowly growing to a roaring inferno as he inched closer to the end of his debt’s grace period. His computer was running on borrowed internet, and if he had to eat another peanut-butter and nothing sandwich one more time he was seriously going to hurl.

Summary
You are an AI researcher who has been temporarily assigned to assist Detroit Police, while Connor is being repaired/replaced. You've been assigned to investigate the site of a burned-down house, due to suspected deviant involvement. You discover a WR600 android there, who, although odd, you believe is not the culprit of the arson.
Language warning for some f-bombs. It's basically unavoidable when both Gavin and Hank are in the story.

Summary
Ever heard of your choose your own adventure book?
Yeah, this is basically it. Though trust me. The old draft is worse for wear than the new one.
Thanks for the support regardless. This is basically for two people who said they wanted to have the legacy version. Enjoy!

The New Version:
It was extremely well written and engaging for the first twenty or so chapters. It's a really well thought out vampire universe and I like the rules and lore involved.
Although it continued to be well written overall the plot itself dipped significantly, feeling quite cliché in places and severely rushed in others. Certain parts were rushed in a single chapter when they could have been much longer, many characters were under-used and I feel the Richardson family link (given such importance earlier) was severely overlooked and under-used during legalities later on.
Realistically the second half could have been extended and advanced into a second volume in and of itself. It feels like the most important part of the build up/plot right at the end was skipped entirely, despite the many months it would have taken and the potential character development for all involved. A lot of things felt as if they were left unresolved (previously introduced characters, side plots that were important for a few chapters - these were either dropped or handled 'off screen' and just mentioned at the end).
I would certainly recommend it as the character development earlier on is amazing, there are plenty of intense and heated moments, but be aware when reading that you'll hit a certain point and speed to a sudden stop of an ending.
Older Version
First off, if you don't like unfinished stories then don't read this - it was left unfinished.
At first I was worried I wouldn't like this because I was expecting it to be an exact draft of the later version, however it's not. It's its own story, and I have to say this one is better in many ways.
The passion is ramped up, and the attraction starts much sooner, with a lot of minor smut (but nothing major ever). On the downside there isn't as much of Gavin's prejudice in this version, and his past only comes up on occasion here. There are also less interactions with other characters who were more prominent in the newer version. Ace has a strange mixture of being more developed and less developed in this version. His background and personal hobbies/life are more detailed in the later version, but his emotional side is much more prominent in this version.
The main plot actually works a lot better in this one though. The pacing is better (though it was never finished) and I preferred Elijah's introduction in this version. The plotline use of his character in the newer version feels quite forced and predictable, where as here it comes off more natural when he appears in a minor capacity. The plot of this story also doesn't spiral at any point. It's strong up until the cut-off, though a new arc was going to be needed soon to carry the plot beyond the strongly formed romance.
If this version had been written with the character backgrounds, interactions and developments added to the later ones and continued on a different path to the original then this could have been a great story.
It's a great shame that this version of the story never got the conclusion it deserved.
If you're willing to read an unfinished story then this is a good one.

Summary
Nelly ran an android repair service in the backroom of a Ravendale thrift store. While she sold hand-me-downs and used appliances to regular customers, her backroom services were only known to second- and third-hand android owners, those who couldn’t afford to visit an official repair shop, and customers looking for unconventional upgrades and modifications.
John, a WR600 who worked as a trash collector in the same district, brought her his biggest find yet. A badly damaged prototype he found in the junkyard just outside of town…
