When Sherlock reveals this secret to John Watson, who observes Mycroft pre- and post-Sherrinford, he comes to a powerful observation. Thanks to him, Sherlock brings Greg Lestrade into the picture, and sets into motion a series of events that finally results in the care, healing, and love Mycroft needs.
