Natasha’s face changed halfway through processing the sentence then narrowed. “Oh god. Does that mean—?”
“Yes.” Tony’s voice was flat with the kind of tired that lodged in bones. “It means the kid has decided to be deaf today.”

Peter Parker realises Clint is partially deaf and decides to prepare himself for if he ever goes deaf by removing all of his auditory input. Tony is planning Clint's death.

Someone however was looking out for them, a game of Rescue Ball kick-starting the memories that bubbled to the surface, Kade even wiping away a tear of relief that he tried to claim was not there. Charlie called in the volunteer rescue crews for the next few days after their game, the entire family, both human and bot, needing rest and time to sort through their emotions. Despite all the smiles and assurances from each other, everyone knew it had been a hard few days, and sooner or later, someone was going to crack.
Unsurprisingly, Cody was the first in the form of a nightmare, waking up the household as he cried out for Heatwave and the others to come back to him, tossing and turning in his bed as the others hurried to his room.

Bruce was always bad at asking for help; he had this inherent opinion that he deserved it somehow. Of all the things he had been given in his life, it was only fair that he should bear his struggles on his own. That asking for help was essentially confessing that he wasn’t able to handle it. That The Batman was weak and wasn’t able to handle Gotham’s criminals. That there was no point in even trying.
However, it seemed that he was at the end of his rope. There really wasn’t another option this time. He had to grit and bear it.
He held onto his ribs tighter and bit back a groan. “Clark”, he nearly whispered.
If Clark was able to hear his heartbeat for god’s sake, he could likely hear his own name. Bruce certainly hoped. It was later in the night, Clark likely was out patrolling Metropolis. Maybe got himself into his own squabble with criminals.
“Clark please.” He said through his teeth.
-Bruce hurts himself and Clark is there to save him.

“Whichever explains why my kid is in this state!” Tony exclaimed, throwing a hand through the air to gesture at Peter. Even with the room having one of the strongest soundproofing in the entire tower, Peter clamped his hands over his ears in pain as he still heard Tony's voice.
Helen sighed and cocked out a hip, placing a hand on it with the other in her doctor’s coat. “Peter is going through a second mutation.”
