When they awoke from their long slumber, they found themselves tended to in a quiet town. From there, they learned of what followed after the fall of the Radiance, the orchestrator of their father’s kingdom.
They learned of their sister’s disappearance.
A call, a cry from the Abyss far below, urged them to find her, to seek her, to save her.
And so, Hallownest watched as its last living survivor, the once-esteemed Hollow Knight, departed of their own accord, by their own will—
—To search for their sister.
Or: The Hollow Knight journeys into the world of Pharloom in search of their sister’s whereabouts, and in doing so, begins to learn what it truly means to be more than a Vessel.

Above her, she finds the trembling shadow of her former rival and last hope, the Weaver’s body warped by claiming godhood. Below, she finds a Pharloom haunted by the consequences of her past actions, by survivors, and by a trail of riddles left by the red-cloaked warrior. Is Lace caught in another web?
Newly mortal and spiraling out of control, Lace is unable to resist the lure of an order, especially one given by the most interesting thing ever to happen to her. What remains of Hornet will lead her on a quest spanning the breadth of her now dying kingdom, force her to face the lies she perpetuated, and show her that some paths cannot be taken alone.

Hornet will use this opportunity to completely alter the course of history for both Hallownest and Pharloom, while also changing the fates of many bugs.Please note that although the title may seem exaggerated, Hornet would never allow the Wyrm to conquer Pharloom through extreme measures. I do not believe that is something she would do.
