Summary
Very clearly Luke decides that there will be no more pyres in the jungle. This may not be Endor, but he will not build a fire and watch this stranger burn out within his armor.
The war is over and he will save this man.
He reaches his living hand into the space under the man’s helmet and feels warm skin and a fluttering pulse of some sort. But there’s no way to see if he’s breathing through the thick cloth mail and armor, so Luke brings his other hand to meet the first and lifts away the helmet in a single swift movement.
The man locks dark eyes on Luke, sucks in breaths that sound like a dying animal, and just as Luke’s about to reassure him, to tell him that he’s going to help him, a gloved and armored hand snakes out and grasps his wrist.
“You've killed me,” he whispers to Luke.
(Or, an alternate first meeting. Luke is fresh from Endor and Force burned, just trying to heal. All Din knows is that his life has taken a sudden left turn. Set 4 months after ROTJ and 5 years before S1 Mandalorian.)

This is basically an Accidental Warlord Din Djarin fic in which Din plays the role of reluctant DILF leader with a heart of gold and Luke plays the role of initially distrusted twink who quickly becomes beloved by all (especially said warlord). The Mandalorians are like, "we've only had Luke Skywalker for a day and a half but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself."

Summary
A lot of things has been going on in the Madrigal household for the past ten years. Bruno went missing, Mirabel didn't get a gift and the magic is dying out. Not like anyone else knew what the last one meant. With Antonio finally receiving his gift, the magic seemed to prosper as always.
Still, Julieta's youngest felt like an outcast in her own family after "ruining" Antonio's ceremony and the encanto can sense each child's hidden insecurities.
So instead of the candle burning out, it burned even brighter than before.
AKA: Instead of taking the magic away, it decides to teach the family a lesson by switching everyone's gift around.
