Summary
As much as Phoenix had gotten used to their little routine, his body still reacted in the way it very much should regardless of the circumstances. It still sparks up his fight or flight response - something he has learned to keep somewhat under control. The visible aspects of it, at least. Because the adrenaline rush was something he still had no control over; the quickening pulse, the heavy breathing, the tensing muscles.

“Still haven’t beaten my score in the range.”
Yoru teased and Phoenix bit.“I wasn’t even trying”
A bullet hit the wall behind Phoenix and he flinched. The loud sound bounced off the walls and filled the room with a loud bang. A hole appeared with steam right beside Phoenix’s head.
“Did you just try to shoot me?”

Rivals have to learn to work together. Phoenix and Yoru will have to overcome the hardships of being a team. Completely unaware of all the hand-holding that comes along with it.
