Dust filtered past with a soft sway of the wind, and silence— other than the eversteady drip! drip! drip! that accompanied Tommy’s thoughts.
In the middle of the blue moonlight, was Temptation. He was gross, covered in soot with specs of concrete here or there— much like Tommy.That piece of wood finally fell.
All Tommy could do was stare.
That piece of cloth Tommy used to think was indestructible, and forever glued to the hero’s face was now gone, much like Tommy’s breath.
The edges of the fabric were singed, likely destroyed in the blast but—

“Wilbur,” Tommy whispered into the dead night, a shaky intake following suit. “Wilbur Soot."
All Tommy could do was run.
OR- After one patrol turns into chaos, Tommy slowly but surely unravels every secret identity around him, and he is not enjoying a single second of it.

Summary
It's been nearly a year since Tommy, or better known as the vigilante Vortex, was captured by the heroes and put into Pandora's Vault. An accident in the prison leads to the Hero Agency promising to free him if he spies for them on a mysterious organization called the Sacred Crimson. But keeping up with three different secret identities and having to infiltrate a cult isn't easy and it doesn't take long for things to go to shit very quickly.
Includes angsty sbi found family and some very scrumptious spyinnit content.

Summary
At sixteen, Canary is one of the most feared villains in the city.
Nobody knows who he is. Nobody knows where he came from. All anyone knows is that Canary is always right.
Heroes think he’s a criminal mastermind. Villains think he can predict the future. Tommy thinks both assumptions are ridiculous.
After all, he’s got chemistry homework due on Friday.
Or, Tommy accidentally becomes a feared crime boss because his survival instincts are so absurdly overpowered that everyone mistakes him for a criminal genius. Meanwhile he’s living in abandoned buildings, failing chemistry, and pretending he definitely has his life together.
Unfortunately for him, the heroes are about to figure that out. And even more unfortunately, some of them might decide that’s their problem now.
This is my first Fic! So please bear with me on this. I’ll update tags and characters either as I remember them or as they show up in the story. I’ll try to release at the very least a chapter or two a week! Please, enjoy this fic that I thought of at literally 1 in the morning!
