Summary
The Kira case is now in the hands of L, the greatest detective of the century, when Naomi Misora comes face to face with an old acquaintance in the darkness of her kitchen.
“I wanted to see you again.”
“You can’t use me to get to L.”
B snorted audibly. “To hell with L. I’m here for you, Misora,” he explained, as if speaking to a dull child unable to grasp the simplest thing.
“Why?”
Another sigh. Naomi could have gladly smashed his face with a capoeira move and dragged him to jail by his ears herself.
“You remind me of someone,” he spat out of nowhere, just as Misora had almost decided to strike him with a pan. There was something in the way he said it… something Naomi sensed as sadness. Even before BB could confirm her suspicion, Misora was already certain he wasn’t speaking of someone he had killed, but of someone he had lost. “An old friend.” -

Summary
Naomi wakes up in her bed after a night drowned in alcohol.
But watching her with his wide, unblinking eyes is Beyond — her neighbor.
And Naomi hasn’t the faintest idea what happened.“I love this manga. I’ve read it fifteen times in two weeks.”
Well then, Naomi thought, that must be true love.
“Oh really?”
“It’s impossible not to love it. It’s taught me so much: courage, hope, love, sacredness, and—wait, where are you going?”
Naomi had finally decided to get out of bed, entirely uninterested in hearing his fanboy monologue. She feared he might never stop once he started, those love-struck eyes fixed on her the whole time.
“I don’t plan on spending the whole day in bed,” she said, slipping into her slippers and heading for the kitchen. “Especially not with you sitting there like that.”
Beyond followed her like a shadow, whining at being ignored. Apparently, he was intent on spending the entire day basking in his literary devotion - and Misora’s indifference had offended him.
“It’s rude to walk away in the middle of a conversation, Misora.”
“And breaking into someone’s house isn’t rude?”

Summary
L and Light have been working together for a few months now, under the will of the world’s greatest detective.
However, L seems to be hiding something from his partner.
He suddenly shows up at the Yagami house without warning and ends up spending the night there.
There’s only one problem: L is sad.“Where are you going?” L sounded genuinely curious.
Slipping into his slippers, Light headed for the door. “I’m going to make you a cake.”At the sound of that magic word, the detective straightened up like in a Pavlovian reflex, removing his thumb from his lips. He looked uncertain whether to follow or not, still crouched barefoot on the mattress. “Oh.”
“But I warn you,” Light told him, as if speaking to a five-year-old, lowering the handle, “it’ll be a cold cake, because I can’t risk waking my family.”
“I understand,” L mumbled. “But, Light…”
“Hm?”
“To tell you the truth, I’m very sad.”This time Light did roll his eyes but allowed himself a small, satisfied smile — the smile of someone who knows he has the other person in his hands. “Then I’ll make you a giant cake.”

Summary
Being at the mercy of a psychopath didn’t shock her, didn’t freeze her blood, and didn’t make her legs tremble. The ice of the lake cracked for something else, for the remnants of unspoken words, for what she could read in that cold, solitary gaze. A gaze that begged for something it didn’t even know how to ask: Look at me.
