Summary
He finds her on Friday, the 18th of November, 1983. She's a small kid, out in the woods and the freezing cold, the first time he's ever seen a girl with hair that short. His parents are leaving for some business trip in the morning. He is going to be alone.
She's alone.
Steve hates the idea of another kid growing up alone.(In which Steve finds Eleven in the winter of ‘83, before Hopper could, and the sudden changes that pull apart his life. Some are far deeper in the bones than he ever could've imagined.)

Summary
The one really, really shitty part of this is everything that’s permanent.
That, Luis hadn’t detailed, nor had Leon entirely expected.
With the political turmoil of his failed rescue mission, the explosion of worldwide T-Virus outbreaks, Leon finds navigating through Europe to find a cure to he and Ashley's condition difficult. There's so much he wants, so much he thinks 'should be' in the face of 'what is', and facing that will come at the cost of knowing himself and what's become of those he's cared about.

Standing here in a pharmacy that should be empty and dead, in pajamas Maggie hasn't seen in years, in skin that's seen those years, the tangle in her chest suddenly eases. Just a little. Just enough for her to suck a breath in and steady herself. Or try to, at least- the voices seem distant but a tandem, and they're ones she knows. Ones she's missed without even realizing it entirely. Daryl's voice. And then, Glenn's.
It all feels so far away- feels like so much, as she stands there staring at scars she's supposed to earn over the next two years. Her bare feet are filthy. The morning is hot. Humid. Like it was two years ago. Like it is today.

Summary
For Luis Serra, fairytales have been true since 1986 when the announcement came out in the newspapers. He's been chasing the chance to get up close and personal with those very fairytales, chasing the birth of studies of humanoid creatures with glittering scales and biological structures barely beyond the world's understanding of evolution. When a career opportunity with the Umbrella Corporation's new Marine Research department leads him to an up close and personal study of a migrating pod. Luis couldn't fathom saying no, much less wanting to.
However, when Umbrella's intentions with the pod and Luis' research start to have life-threatening implications; Luis takes things into his own hands. Following the pod on their migration, Luis takes off alone- keen on finishing his work with the hope that a better understanding of merfolk might save them and give him the chance to bring the hammer down on Umbrella.
Unfortunately -or perhaps fortunately, up close and personal becomes extremely personal as he finds the merfolk are equally as fascinated with him.

Summary
Don’t be a Stranger-
An alternate timeline in which Steve finds Eleven before Hopper does, their relationship as found siblings, as well as Steve’s troubles from 1983 to 1986. Having to deal with his awful parents, the scars he got from supporting himself and Eleven in Chicago, he and Nancy’s deteriorating relationship and an earth shattering (not-)dog bite leaves him with little room to breathe.

Will jumps as El lets herself into his room and drops onto his bed. She doesn't look at him, arms crossed and frowning up at the ceiling.
“Umm. Hello. I see you are upset so I won’t complain about the not knocking thing. Again.” She blinks and finally looks over at him with a small pout. “Sorry.”
He shakes his head, smiling fondly, “It’s fine. Why are our friends being mean? What did they do?”
El lets out a puff of air and returns to the staring contest she had been having with the ceiling.
“They are being rude to Steve.”
