“I have to do something when I’m not in the field. If I don’t, all I think about is–” Leon's voice died in his throat, and he dipped the toe of his boot into a nearby puddle. “Well. You know.”
“Yeah.” Carlos’s voice was rough, his hand moving to rest on Leon’s good shoulder. He grasped the leather of his jacket and shook him a little. “I do know… which is why I’m here.” He used his free hand to pull out his phone again, flicking away from the image of Leon and to a different one with his thumb. “This screenshot is from a security camera in the Kijuju Autonomous Zone. I’m heading there right after this to investigate potential BOW smuggling, so BSAA West Africa pulled all the intel they could.”
Leon squinted at the sudden brightness of the device, then froze when he comprehended what he was looking at. “That’s… not possible,” he said slowly, breathlessly, a shaking hand curling around the phone so he could examine it more closely. “It can’t be.”
“It’s not proof, but it’s damn close,” Carlos said, allowing Leon to clutch his phone like a lifeline and letting go of his jacket, finally convinced he wasn’t about to bolt. “So… you coming with me?"

Leon has spent no less than three years working to up keep the identity of Daniel Kruger, head of specialised security detail for HCF, and commander to the HellHound team. He keeps his hair colour darker now, wears a singular contact—having heterochromia is easier than having two contacts in when they obscure his sight slightly—and he dresses differently enough nobody seems to have any kind of clue into his true identity.

Carlos' knee starts bouncing and Chris knows they've been in the car long enough. They're just arriving into the city—the entire place looks, well, sad. It certainly seems like the kind of place run by terrorists. It, in a way, reminds Chris of the more run down areas of America. The downtown ones run by mafias and gangs. It seemed that particular kind of horror clouded the entire world too.
AKA: My REwrite of Resident Evil 5!! Now with a Leon story to match Chris'!

Summary
When Chris is infected with Uroboros and somehow survives, he realises he can't risk staying with the BSAA anymore and runs. He eventually finds somewhere to stay, and finds out Wesker is alive. Chris meets up with him and decides to stay, Wesker being the only one who will accept him despite being the only living host for Uroboros. They still seem to hate each other, but their feelings must go deeper than hate, as they are still working together. Now the two have to figure out how to avoid the BSAA while learning about what Uroboros did to Chris.

Or - Wesker gets saved(kidnapped) by the BSAA after the events of re5. He struggles with the world around him as Chris struggles with the trauma of just looking at Wesker while also being his assigned partner.

Casualties continue to mount over the long years I've struggled. One of those losses nearly consumed me, and I was incredibly lucky to have survived the aftermath, but I still feel grief’s dull teeth sunken into my soul, gnawing. Aching. More and more I find myself wondering if it's all worth fighting for. Maybe one day I'll find out.
There is one thing I do know. I have a job to do, and I'm going to see it through.

And now every piece is in place. His ship is ready. It is filled with Uroboros, ready to separate the wheat from the chaff, to judge humanity.
Only one inconvenience stands in his way. Oh, and they brought their pistols. Cute.

In this, I rewrote the ending of Re5 to be potentially needlessly brutal. Wesker wins, or the heroes win, I wrote both. In either case, Chris and Jill lose their partners. Fair warning.

After the events of Resident Evil 5, Wesker awakens one morning to find himself in a run-down cottage on a hill that's been taken over and left in Mother Nature's shackles. Immediately, he gets set to work on clearing out all the trees and finds a strange shrine with an ominous note placed there. Now worried that he's expecting a familiar face in three years, Wesker hurriedly gets to work on clearing out the old farm and is determined to build himself a chicken coop. Along the way, he hesitantly gives in and sets aside his suspicions to meet some of the townsfolk who remind him of very familiar faces. The question is, is our favourite blonde prepared to settle down and leave his old life behind for a second chance at everything he's ever wanted? Or is he going to fuck up again and break everyone's hearts?
You shouldn't really have any expectations of him, it took him five days to adopt a cat for Yoba's sake... -
