Warlock shrugged, picking at his blanket and trying to hide his frown. "My nana used to cough a lot, and then mom said she died and went to hell. Are you going to hell, nanny?"
On normal circumstances, Crowley might have laughed at this. But it was not a normal circumstance and Crowley's throat hurt too terribly to laugh. "No need, my dear. I can visit hell whenever I like. If I do die, well I suppose I won't go anywhere."
"Why not?"
"Well, I don't much care for hell, and heaven won't have me. So I suppose I would just float out in space," she said a bit sadly. "The stars are lovely this time of year."Or

Klaus somehow, somehow, figures out how to manifest himself visibly, as some sort of shade passing as a living man, to talk a high-as-a-kite Luther into going home. He doesn’t touch Luther once, and his ghostly self feels a bit lightheaded, but he walks beside Luther until they’re back to the Academy and Luther has fallen asleep on the staircase.
“I’ll tell him I’m dead when he’s sober,” Klaus tells Ben. “I’ll do it.”
“Okay,” says Ben.
Klaus doesn’t.

“Is it the article?” Alex asks.
Henry nods, swallowing hard and Alex understands he’s slipped into a non-verbal state. They’ve dealt with it a few times before, the two of them completely opposite when it comes to their anxiety. Alex can’t stop speaking, words fall out of him at an alarming rate until someone shuts him up to assure him that everything will be fine. Whereas Henry’s brain seems to shut down, rendering him unable to speak until he’s comfortable.
Alex wants to protect him from anything so evil that it could take away that beautiful voice.

It's an easy night, or at least it's supposed to be. The four of them relaxing in the pool. But something sends Henry into a spiral of anxiety and Alex isn't about to let him go it alone.

He doesn’t manage to finish his sentence, because all of a sudden he’s crouching over in another one of his coughing fits. Eddie’s at his side in an instant, steadying him with hands holding either side of Steve’s shoulders, too close and too warm and Steve fists a hand in Eddie’s shirt, turning so he can’t see the petals Steve hastily shoves into his pocket.
Steve Harrington just wants to live his life peacefully. The universe and one damn metalhead have other plans for him.

The voice sounds behind them suddenly, and all of them startle and whip around in synchronization.
“Klaus,” Luther hears himself say distantly. “You’re…here.”
Four tilts his head, bringing his hand to his lips and inhaling deeply around the cigarette dangling between his fingers. When he exhales, the smoke curls around his head like a halo before drifting into the air.
“Yeah, well, I would’ve gotten here sooner,” Four says around the cigarette. “But I just really didn’t want to.”

Number Four shows up to the funeral three hours late with an iced latte in one hand and a cigarette dangling from the other.
Or; Klaus fled the Academy the day they turned eighteen. He never looked back.
Ten years later, their father dies.
Number Four returns.And none of them quite know what to do with this new version of their black sheep brother.
AKA: Klaus single-handedly stops the apocalypse. It really wasn't that hard, so if everyone could stop looking at him like that, that would be great, thanks.

Klaus’ eyes bug out of his skull—that’s the craziest thing he’s heard all year.
