Summary
His body tingled with the remembrance of the kiss their lips gave him. Face flushing, he groaned and buried his face in the crook of his arm, rolling over in his bed and burying his face in his pillow.
Never once had a date had such a hold on him.
Had him wanting to scream into a pillow and kick his legs back and forth excitedly.
His coworker was truly someone that he was going to have a hard time getting out of his mind.

Summary
Waking up that morning was particularly difficult. The warmth of their smile when they got over their adoration of seeing him for the first time in so long lingered in his veins. But when he shifted in the bed and couldn’t feel them, that warmth dissipated. It reached his fingertips and got lost in the cold, empty sheets.
The only thing that remained of them was the plant that slouched sadly on his desk, missing his partner’s warmth just as much as he did.

Summary
February 10 (2/2) - Weathering the storm (Brachium/Elliott/Sunshine) - In which Brachium feels guilty for the pain they’ve suffered, and Elliott and Sunshine smother him with love to ease that guilt.
__They were beautiful all on their own.
Just the two of them.
And they were better off that way.
Sunshine often asked him about the deaths he witnessed, and on the occasion that they were without Elliott, he would recall them.
Sunshine would always listen, nails tracing patterns of squiggly lines onto his cold hands and warming them up while they hummed occasionally.
Brachium could never tell whether or not those hums were okay or not.

__Aaron hummed, probably spacing out and not paying attention.
Ollie grumbled quietly and walked over to him, sighing and suppressing a yawn. He tapped on the back of the chair next to Aaron’s ear as a warning, and then he gently poked his cheek so as to not startle him.
“Huh?” Aaron blinked and looked up at Ollie, and his eyes widened slightly. “O-oh shit, sorry, did you say something?”

“Nick, I-I was supposed to wait but…I don’t think I can anymore.” Matt looked over at Nick, and his heart was racing more than it would have if he had ran his way all the way to the restaurant without stopping.
“Mattie?” Nick asked, tilting his head in confusion. “I-is everything okay? Did something happen?”
“Yes,” Matt whispered breathlessly. “I fell in love with you 6 weeks ago, and after we got together, I’ve fallen in love with you more and more every day since.”

February 4 (2/2) - Fancy dinner (James & Love/Asset | Platonic) - In which James takes Love out to enjoy more human experiences.
__One of the other students grabbed his blazer and pulled him along, apologizing for his staring as they pushed him inside.
“What word would you use to describe that behavior, James?” They looked at him curiously, and James tapped his chin in thought. His eyes lingered on the entrance of the place the students had just gone into before he looked back at them.
“I would call that…energetic.” He smiled at them, and they hummed absentmindedly.
“I see.”
“What would you call it?” James asked them. They blinked and stared ahead.
“I don’t understand the question.” They mumbled, and James chuckled.
“In your opinion, what word do you think would best describe that behavior?”
“Uncouth.” They said matter-of-factly. James looked surprised, but he chuckled again nonetheless.

__“Anyways,” Asher chuckled when David gently nudged his shoulder. “I wanted to talk about…” The humor in his voice faded, and Asher resumed picking his nails. David hesitated. “I know this isn’t the appropriate place to have this conversation, but we’re gonna be too tired this week to talk about it anywhere else. Are you okay with that?”
“I-I don’t even know what we’re talking about, buddy.” Asher kept his eyes away from David, keeping a lookout so they were actually doing something.
“I want to talk about us,” David started. “And I want to talk about our relationship, i-if that’s okay. I just figured, since we won’t have any time to later because we’re gonna be so tired, and we have to be here the rest of the week, we could…do it now. If you want to.”

February 1 (2/2) - Stargazing (Nate/Star) - In which Star surprises Nate with a date, and he tells them how much he loves them. Both surprises are equally as appreciated.
__He smiled as his cheeks burned, whether from the cold or his embarrassment, he couldn’t tell, but it was pleasant all the same.
Star jumped down and he jumped, snapping his head towards them to see if they were okay. They grinned and grabbed his hands again, gently tugging him around the truck and making sure he kept his eyes on them.
Nate panicked when they nearly tripped, and Star leaped to make sure he didn’t peak until they said so.
“A-are you okay?” He asked worriedly, and they nodded with a huge smile on their face.
“Never better baby, now,” Nate’s cheeks burned hotter at the name, “You can look.” They gestured to the cargo bed, and Nate’s gaze followed their hand.

February 1 (1/2) - Favorite couple (Lasko/Freelancer) - In which Freelancer gets home really late after a long day of work and classes, and Lasko is worried for them.
__Lasko jumped up immediately when he heard someone’s footsteps race towards the door, while keys desperately tried to fit into the doorknob’s lock.
He nearly knocked his stool over when he stood up and ran over to the door as it opened.
The Freelancer stood there, breathing heavily and leaning against the door to catch their breath. Lasko exhaled every atom of air in his body, and he felt his eyes well up with tears as he took in all their okay-ness.
“You’re okay.” He whispered breathlessly.

Imperium Regulus and Imperium Precious: In which Precious’s guilt of loving Regulus comes back to bite them, despite their lack of regrets. Regulus gives his Precious a show with his magic, his own token of appreciation for being and bringing so much beauty into his life.
(Whether or not they have their own free will is up to your interpretation!)
__“The room is dark.” He said, watching them flick their eyes to him and sink into the bed a little more. “But that only makes it easier to see the bright things, whether or not they have colors to them or not.”
Precious sniffed quietly, watching him with curious eyes.
Boy did he love those eyes.
“Kind of like you and me.” He said, turning his head to them and smiling gratefully. “This world is dark, and that can make it hard to see. But that also makes you shine brighter.”

Canon Damien and Canon Huxley: They both swear that Huxley couldn’t be more at peace in the moment he’s in. Some of those feelings get to Damien.
__Damien opened his eyes and kept his head down.
He was definitely feeling some of Huxley’s imperturbation. No. He was feeling all of it.
He looked back up at Huxley and smiled softly, reaching up so he could tap his cheek gently. Huxley opened his eyes and looked down at Damien, humming in faint surprise when Damien gently tugged in the strings of his hoodie so he would bend down to give him a kiss.

Canon Blake and Canon Bestie: In hopes of rekindling their friendship, Blake and Bestie watch old movies they wanted to watch as kids together, which ends up with them cuddling and Blake watching them sleep.
__“You think it’s that good?” He asked, raising his eyebrows and smiling in amusement.
Bestie sleepily mumbled against his shirt. “Well I don’t know if the movie is good, but this moment is good.”
Blake felt his face flush, and he brushed their hair out of their face affectionately. “I didn’t know you could be so bold.” He chuckled when they hummed tiredly, looking up at him with a soft pointed look.
“Considering the fact that I’m half asleep, I think it makes sense you didn’t know.” They mused, resting their cheek against his chest again. They faced the movie again and tried to muffle their yawns.

Canon Nate and Canon “Star”: In which Nate can’t stop himself from wanting to help Star, and it only makes Star love him more.
__“Can I help?” He mumbled against their skin, peeking his eyes up over their shoulder. Star tapped their fingers over the back of his hands.
“You don’t have to, but if you want to, then yeah.”
Nate kissed their shoulder gently and started to get excited at the prospect of spending time with them on Christmas. He definitely wasn’t a huge fan of Christmas, as he hadn’t really had anyone to spend it with. But he was sure that he would enjoy it so much more if he was spending that time with Star.
“You feel excited.” Star cooed, and Nate’s blush worsened.
“Well…I am. It’s our first Christmas together as an official couple, and I’m excited to spend time with you.”

__“At least save your moment capturing until after I get the affection I’ve been missing all week.” They mused, taking their hands off his chest so they could flick his nose before kissing it. Xavier’s face flushed and he hummed.
“But Snowflake, my need to take a screenshot of this moment is much too strong to give into the temptation of your love.” He mumbled against their lips, kissing them again.
“Okay yeah, just come on.” They smiled internally, pulling him to the back of the Enforcer building so they could climb up the ladder they stole a long time ago and set on the back.

__“You can turn around now,” He mumbled, watching as Petal quickly rolled up their sleeves and sank down to their knees so they could rest their elbows against the bathtub and pull him in for a gentle kiss.
“Can I wash your hair, hun?” They whispered to him, resting their forehead against his. John took a moment to take in his surroundings.
The smell of the candles was starting to set in, and he used the fire from them to light his heart when he looked at them. He leaned forward to give them another kiss, even if he hadn’t answered their question.
“I love you, Petal.” He mumbled, feeling his heart swell with more love than he thought he was capable of.

He furrowed his eyebrows and pulled them back so he could see their face. “What did you want to say, Sugar?”

They uncrossed their arms and reached out for his hands so they could gently take them. “I know you wanted today to be special, but any time I spend with you is my favorite. You don’t have to do something grand and spectacular to make it enjoyable.”
“I know that.” He said, opening his eyes so his heart could melt at the sight of their tender eyes. “But you deserve something special. And I think we deserve a break after all the time we’ve been spending at work.”
He rubbed his thumb over their knuckles and sighed. “But of course work would still come to bite me in the ass even on my days off.”
