Furina had always lived under her sister's shadow. Focalors was excellent at everything. She was popular, smart, attractive, responsible, and social. Furina meanwhile struggled with most of these things.
She was awkward, a bit of a ditz, is kinda stupid with academics, and she's always kept to herself. Although, she does have one thing she likes enough to pursue it as her course in University. She liked films. She loved them.
She was part of the theater club too.
In this way, she was beyond her sister's shadow because she no longer stood behind her.
Maybe she'll even find a guy who will understand her vision!

Summary
The Canvas was destroyed when Verso's soul stopped painting. The end of a long reign of suffering was over.
And then it came back.
Gustave died. He knows that much. He was dead. But now he's back on the ship on the day after the Gommage of everyone who was 33 years old, and now he's back on his way to the continent to repeat the cycle of destruction. But he isn't alone. It quickly becomes apparent that Lune, Sciel, and Maelle are back, too. And they have a plan to save as many lives as possible. And to defeat the painters. Plural. Because that is a thing, apparently.
To Gustave's worry, this plan revolves around Maelle and a man named Verso. A man who will save Maelle on the beach just as he did last time.
But something about this whole things is strange, and this group of survivors they have gathered slowly begin to uncover conspiracies that extend far beyond the problems of their canvas.
Because for Maelle, it's been four years since the canvas was destroyed, and she swears on her brother's grave she wasn't the one to repaint it.

Verso saw Maelle's fate in his mother's heartbreaking descent into all-consuming obsession. He didn't want this for her. His decision was clear. The canvas had to be erased. And he got his say. It was being erased before his very eyes. But... why wasn't he? Why was he... being pulled out into reality?
[ In an anguished whisper, he exhaled, “I’m tired… I’m so tired… I can finally rest now. I know this is hurting you. But can you be happy for me? Just a little? In your own big world… in your little room… would you think of me and spare a smile for me? Would you remember me as I am, not as you wished me to be?”
Heaving one last sigh, Verso closed his eyes. He was finally at peace. He could feel the beginning of his own disintegration.
