Summary
After almost breaking up because of what happened with Akechi, Ren and Yusuke start afresh and decide to rebuild their world from the ground up. They know Goro is alive, staying in hiding somewhere, and the dust settles for long enough to give everyone a sense of a new beginning. And yet, the slate never really stays clean.
When Akechi is forced to return to Tokyo, reluctant allies go out of their way to help. They get caught up in a fray that may be too big for the three of them, but even with Shido going free and the Metaverse rearing its head again it is still the puzzle of the human heart that proves to be the hardest to solve.

Ren returns home with Goro, in hopes of getting the holidays over with, but somewhere between Sojiro’s new habits and Futaba’s last minute plan – things are a lot more tangled than that. At least family gatherings sure are animated. Can the holiday spirit help bring this family together? Maybe. Are Ren and Goro going to lose their h*cking minds? Maybe.
