His hand grabbed Paul's cold, metal wrist as he began to quickened his steps towards the portals. They were pretty far away from the towers, so there was no need to hide from guards for now. Paul let themselves be dragged along by Kolanii, staying closely behind him.
"Y’know, Kolanii…" Paul muttered, his free hand reaching to grab a dandelion from the grassy meadow as they walked. "I think you're just paranoid."
Kolanii stopped in his steps so fast, Paul couldn't stop on time and bumped into his back. He didn't speak to reply, but Paul felt his grip around his wrist tighten before he let go, pushing their hand away furiously.
Paul's interface dinged as their expression changed into a worried look. They wanted to speak, but figured staying silent was a better reply.
